Battles Without Honor and Humanity 1973
Well made film. The editing is top rate. The first 10 minutes there is a rape, multiple murders and arms getting cut up, its that kind of film. Fast loud and in your face, then it becomes like a rock ballad: smooth but edgy. I cant think of one thing that i change from this film, the second you try to connect a character in this film, he dies. This film is a film only served for the well versed…

The Wages of Fear 1953
This film is very suspenseful. To the point where i wanted to fast forward past the stressful scenes. I watched the American remake so i had a general idea of the premise but the original had its fair share of nuance to it. Honestly if i didnt know of this film i wouldve turned it off after 20 minutes because it was going nowhere. The editing is a bit rough, probably a product of its time. The third act is dynamite. The last scene was silly and a bit unnecessary to be frank, kind of killed the movie but nonetheless i recommend this film.

Le Cercle Rouge 1970
Classic gangster film, after the big heist the movie dies down into a typical film ending of its era but still but 1970 it was considered cutting edge. The dialogue was the best part of the film, "All children are born innocent, but not for long" Recommend.

Casualties of War 1989
When brownie died, it was really sad. Thats how this film messes with someone. The ensemble cast was amazing. I enjoyed this film thoroughly. Very well made by De Palma, thats how you make a film, subject matter had to be hard to make so great for him to get this out. The camera work was sneaky good. I recommend just for the subject matter alone but the best is OSCAR worthy performances.
