Companion 2025
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
HAHAHA I SUCCESSFULLY WENT IN BLIND AND HAD NO IDEA SHE WAS A ROBOT
…idk how I missed it on the poster though
This movie gets bonus points for the final scene not being her walking away covered in blood, with the house burning down in the background while police/fire department pull up.
It was good and I enjoyed it, however just like Barbarian - once you get past the twist it just gets real generic real fast.Translated from by

The Substance 2024
Unironically…we need more monster movies. I love the original Universal Monsters because of what they represent in their worlds and what they point out about ours. This has similar themes to several classic movies with a fresh take and social commentary. True horror should always serve a purpose past shock, and while this is probably the most shocking and disturbing movie of the year, each scene serves a purpose.

Anyone But You 2023
Super predictable and corny dialogue. Everything happened by chance, no stakes, and super canned. I hated how everything was just by chance, but also…not?
I don’t understand why they hate each other SO MUCH. I know the actors in this are capable of so much more, just goes to show how important writers are.
I would not surprised if that whole thing was written by AI.
