the first movie with worse pacing, less satire and a seeming inability to care about murphy's fight in trying to retain his humanity inside the body of a machine and the life that was forcefully taken from him.
though since this still is basically robocop with regressions, it's still pretty good - overhated imo.

Everyone I watched this with did not like it and I feel super awkward about enjoying this as much as I did.
It's not perfect, and I do feel this gets too much praise thrown its way purely for the lighting and shots, but it is an undeniably strong suit of the entire film. Builds a great atmosphere immediately, along with all the weirdo characters being their weirdo selves.
