Lady Bird 2017
Probably would've enjoyed it a lot more if not for the toxic mother-daughter relationship. I felt like the mother suppressed her daughter's desire for more because she never got that herself. She was motivated by jealousy and pride.
I'd recommend the book "Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents: How to Heal from Distant, Rejecting, and Self-Involved Parents" to Christine MacPherson and hope she's been seeing a therapist.
