Still so many silly silly decisions here - but why wouldn’t ya when you’re feeling yourself after 2 of the biggest blockbuster hits of ALL TIME?!?? I’m so happy this exists exactly as it is, warts and all. Entertaining through and through.

Get Out 2017
Don’t think I’ve ever truly appreciated what this movie is until this time around (even though I’ve always thought it’s a 5 star banger). Maybe the (home) theater atmosphere is what tipped the scales, or maybe it was watching it with my 65-70 year old white parents and seeing how much even they enjoyed it.
The hypnotism scene is one of the all time great scenes of the 21st century. That’s the scene that truly elevates this whole movie to the important piece of cinema that it is

I never want to watch another “lawyer breaks down court room scenes in tv and movies” YouTube video again if it’ll allow me to enjoy movies like this more. Sure this gets silly in places to keep the plot moving, and I’m sure there’s a multitude of law practice inaccuracies that come unraveling the first thread you pull at. But in a time where we’re all clamoring for original films and shorter run times, we must celebrate movies like this. And all caveats aside I simply enjoyed the hell out of this!!
