    what are you going to do?

    there are scenes in this film that felt like my heart was sobbing at the understated poignancy and tender handling of a bildungsroman without reliance on cliche and there are scenes in this film that made me want to shave my head in fury and pass out from secondhand embarrassment. so in this sense perhaps it does perfectly encapsulate that summer after you finish high school, unfortunately it does it too well and I don’t enjoy remembering adolescence so I can only give this film 3.5 stars
