This movie is getting a lot of unfair hate.
I watched without knowing about it’s protracted development and reshoots, so had a completely open mind going in, and thoroughly enjoyed it.
I thought it was original and raised some interesting questions about free will, and male insecurity, while thankfully avoiding any female-character-in-peril cliched exploitation. Especially seeing Tom Holland be the one to get gratuitously naked in one scene!
It’s no bad thing to take some extra time to really make something work and give it a little extra polish.

This movie made me think of requiem for a dream.

It’s not a sci-fi movie, and I think that the marketing people should be fired, because this is a beautiful, gut punchingly depressing tale of struggle and addiction.

People that trash this movie for its sci-fi leanings are the same people that think Swallow is a horror.  Go figure!

This movie is memorable for two things:

One of the most cringey singalongs in movie history, and the bizarre news reader scene at the very end during the credits.

Let me save you a bunch of time- here is the plot of the movie summed up in one sentence:

George Clooney crosses wilderness, makes phone call.

You’re welcome. Save yourself 2.5 hours of cliched tedium
