  I think I liked this movie a lot more the first time round. For such a slick, stylised movie, with a great cast of supporting actors, Anson Elgor is so… uninteresting to look at?

  Also the soundtrack is just a bunch of Edgar Wright likes. Maybe that’s all that a good soundtrack needs to be, but I cant imagine anyone saying that Baby driver has their favourite soundtrack.

  Stray thoughts:

  There are some interesting ideas about an hour into the film that are mostly squandered in 10 minuets.

  The new cast isnt great, I found their banter pretty grating.

  There are some jokes that are bizzarly out of place (trololol guy, what!?). 

  There is a goddawful sexist love triangle that’s feels almost like a parody of itself. It’s the most I’ve seen an actress used like a prop in a long time.

  The whole film ends with a climax that feels like a step down in scale from the original. 

  It’s rubbish.
