  One I’ve been meaning to get to for ages and yes it’s pretty much as fun as its reputation. Like a Rocky movie but for jousting. Paul Bettany really needs to get let off the leash like this more often.

  Someone thought to make all the baddies in this look like Katherine Helmond in Brazil and no one stopped them. Unless they were modeled on post-burn Ralph Fiennes in The English Patient. Anyway not the best alien bad guys Trek ever came up with. But there’s a lot of interesting arguments in here against ethnic cleansing that seem to have fallen out of fashion now.

  The Swimmer 1968

  The best logline I have for this, which would not have worked very well in 1968, is 'Don Draper in Hell'.

  So you can watch for a rather harrowing portrait of a guy who is really Going Through It, or just to see Burt Lancaster wearing basically nothing but swim trunks the whole time just looking like a golden god. While really Going Through It.
