stellar fucking soundtrack. so disorienting, so unsettling, so sad. i’m taking mandy/tara’s words to heart. there is still time. surely isabel returns to the pink opaque :’)
reminded me of X. the tangible fear and actual horror of the film was never mr. melancholy or the ice cream man, but the Real Horror of a lifetime of repression, of isolation, of the closet. this film bleeds queerness. it is a terrifying mirror held up to each of us, questioning our authenticity, our carefully crafted facades, and what lies on the other side of Never.
