Thematically and narratively jumbled, particularly when it touches on anything outside the political critique and dips into the narration more than it needs to, but there's still a well crafted, chaotically fun satire Bong squeezes out of this. He's great at finding the right tonal balance for such a dark comedy and even when it doesn't clean up the storytelling misteps, it's consistent in creating for a good time.

Now this is my kind of picture! A brilliant character study that expertly conveys OCD and loneliness through one of the greatest performances I have ever seen. Incredibly tense thanks to some of the best sound design and editing in any film ever and endlessly fascinating with the character we are given to follow. It's pretty sad all things considered, and makes for a truly unforgettable experience. Quite possibly Coppola's best.
