A very disjointed film. Charles and Erik are great, separately and together. Mystique and Emma Frost have so much potential but it's wasted and they both fall flat more than they succeed. And I have little to say about anyone else.
Immediately after seeing the film, in the theater opening weekend, I downloaded Magneto's theme song and made it my ringtone for at least a year. I think that riff remains the best part of the film. 🤷♀️
First of all this movie is so pretty. It takes the time to set the scene and uses location, production design, costuming, lighting, color, movement, shadow, silence, wind for days...the whole arsenal to create beauty.
