one of the most stunning portrayals of trans solidarity and connection i’ve seen before. kitana kiki rodriguez and mya taylor are the only women who could have brought a work like this to life.
it’s hard to stomach the constants in sin-dee and alexandra’s life: partners who cheat, the constant misgendering that strips them of their gender identity. but they stomach it boldly, fighting back and never relinquishing who they are. even at its worst (the most sobering moment in this movie), they hold each other up and hold true to themselves. the final moments of this movie showcase this beautifully.
