It wasn’t hip to like The Police back in around 1992 when I was 12 and they became my first favorite band. It’s not hip to like them these days, either. Thankfully, I’ve never given a shit about any of that.
If you’re still complaining about them not being “real punks” in 2025, then the problem is with you. “Landlord” is a more political song than most first-wave yobbers managed to pump out anyway.
