when you're a kid and realize your house is no longer sacred. the familiar walls, rooms, and objects of your childhood tainted by your corrupted imagination (or loss of innocence or whatever). this is the first movie i’ve encountered that brought me back so intimately to the horror i sometimes felt as a child, the countless nights i lost sleep over.
