  i was obviously always going to like this but it exceeded even my very high expectations. the entire cast (with the notable exception of ophelia - so sorry boo but you played her as acting so stupidly and unnaturally that it was distracting) was basically flawless and the set/cinematography was an ideal halfway point between film and stage imo. fierce in the highest degree.

  cannot quite parse how much of roxy’s abject stupidity is a character choice and how much of it is misogyny but enjoyed watching so what does that say about me!

  this is so beautiful i dont even know what to say and also i hope the elves are unionized and christmas as defined aesthetically by the 1840s and 1950s makes me think about so many things
