I love how violent this can be. Like a bird get decapitated, animals get thrown around, and in general it leans into the fact that animals are wild and eat other animals and that is pretty crazy.

It got some tears out of me at points and I just love robots who learn to love. I think the dynamic with the animals and how they interact with each other is a liiiiiittle bit silly but it’s a kids movie so what do I know? I appreciate it for being at least catered towards a lot of ages.

Probably my favorite film of the ones I’ve watched today. It’s a simple premise but it shines through its characters, especially by Jesse Eisenberg and Kieran Culkin. The real places they visit makes this so impactful, and the dynamic between the cousins and the rest of the tour group is both heartbreaking and strangely comforting. I really liked this one for how bittersweet it all is

James Cameron is a hack, fraud, and coward. Why? Not because he’s almost drowned his casts and crews on more than one movie, or just a piece of shit to work with in general, no. Not because he’s a known asshole. It’s because he made a movie about naked blue people and we don’t see any titties, no cock and/or balls. Why not go all the way, Jim? Coward. Anyways I’m going to see the second movie this weekend.
