The Substance 2024
I felt very alert & shoked during the whole movie. Literally. It depicts the story of a tv star who reaches the age of "retirement". It portrays her strong overwhelming feelings and choices in a very extreme,terifying & brutal way. I love this film's rawness and i sympathize with the protagonist in a way. I'd rate it 5 stars if the plot has been a bit better, i feel like some things are missing and i'd probably like to see some more explanation but i guess that would be a completely different film.

Time of the Gypsies 1988
A very sensitive film following the lives,dreams and struggles of a gypsy couple & their families. Great depiction of the gypsie's way of living, philosophy and traditions. A smart portrayge of human feelings such as egoism,hope, lust & greed, makes you see humanity from a different perspective both optimistic and pessimistic at the same time. Brilliant music selection & amazing soundrack by Goran Bregovic, you should deffinetely see this film if you're a fan of the balkan/gypsy culture or even if you're not but want to learn more about it.
