Thought this was a blast. Has a wonderful energy to it with a screenplay that never stops delivering gags and bits.

Really grew on me as we discover the layers going on within the two lead performances, but it's the ending that made this really work for me. I wish there were more Elaine May films out there to discover and watch.

A somewhat sweet and sincere look at mail order brides and the men who are looking for one. But who are we kidding? It's all about the cringe here and there is plenty of cringe to go around. A must watch if you love some good cringe and feeling uncomfortable.

Atom Egoyan's failed attempt at trying to pull off a noir is a fascinating misfire. Egoyan's style is all over Where the Truth Lies but nothing ever really clicks or works for a number of reasons. The final film is often times bizarre, campy, and exists in its own odd, little world where Kevin Bacon is the funniest, hottest, and most talented man in the history of showbiz. This is the kind of bad film that only a great director can make. I'm sure not everyone will enjoy it in the same way I did, but I was constantly amused by it.
