Captain America: Brave New World 2025
By far the weakest Captain American entry and not a patch on the previous three.
Mackie does his best, but it still feels like the sidekick being asked to fill in in the boss's absence.
Also have to wonder how many people are going to get the references to The Incredible Hulk and Falcon & The Winter Soldier.

The Brutalist 2024
For a seriously long movie, it ultimately doesn’t earn its brutal(!) running time. Though, mercifully, there is actually an intermission half way through.
I’m stealing the words from someone else, but it’s a movie about ideas, which ultimately feels like it doesn’t go anywhere.
Some great performances, particularly from Ritchie, but also Brodie.
If it had been an hour shorter, I would have given it an extra star.

Dune: Part Two 2024
Without question, a visual tour de force bar none. The action and cinematography are jaw dropping and it really is a movie that needs to be experienced on the biggest screen possible (preferably IMAX!).
From a story POV, I wasn’t quite as convinced. There’s just so much plot to get through that events really rush by. It’s also super hard to get a sense of how much time is going by as the story unfolds.
