Like everyone else here: the first half is a bit difficult to follow, the second one not so much. I really liked it, but I'd have to watch it again to make more sense out of it. Just a thoroughly enjoyable and well-made movie that I will watch again. (Lately, I've found it much easier to cry and feel than ever before. It's wild watching a movie like this now. That's why I have little to say in public for now: the experience was very personal in many ways.)

The pacing is not for everyone, but I was hooked from the start. Pakula's direction is rock solid -- I just adore how he's in no rush anywhere. The film has many memorable characters, each in their different way: my favorites are Raul Julia's defense attorney and Delay Guardia who really breathes life into that slow man.
