I think the first act is the strongest, but generally felt like this stuck to the musical biopic mold. The ape thing felt a little gimmicky and not as subversive they were maybe intending, but I'm very pro ape so I can't be too mad. I'm sure this is a lot of fun if you're familiar with Robbie Williams's music, but alas I am American.
