  Excellent world building but a totally bland plot. Gets extra points from me because the premise is right up my alley and the movie is gorgeous to look at but man the script is lacking.

  Striking. Its relatively predictable story is compensated by superb execution. Rides a razor thin line but never crosses over into melodrama. Riz Ahmed is electric.

  Unsurprising I liked it so much given that Darius Marder was a writer on Place Beyond the Pines, and Derek Cianfrance co-wrote and produced Sound of Metal.

  Arguably my favorite Pixar film. Definitely the one with the most childhood nostalgia for me. I used to watch this on repeat as a kid. The narrative is so tight, and clever, funny, emotional. It has it all. Golden age Pixar at its finest.

Following
