    I love the concept of this film. The human eye is so intricately incredible that it has held mystical meaning across many cultures and religions over the span of centuries. I totally get the eye obsession. Although the idea of the eye as a connecting factor of reincarnation is somewhat simple, the execution here was pretty intriguing.

    Raising Arizona takes Coen brothers’ humor from deadpan to slapstick at a pace I’ve never seen before from them. The cinematography and storyline is chaotic (and at times disjointed), but it’s a fun bumpy ride. The gags get a little gimmicky but there’s so much charm to the story that I don’t mind it.     The best California vs Minnesota governor showdown I’ve ever seen.

    I love how this is meant to be set in 2017 and then it cuts to the most 80s outfits to ever exist.

    It’s a very fun movie - dystopian political commentary, classic snazzy 80s action, cheesy Arnie one-liners, over-the-top style, and aerobics-styled dance routines carried out with the precision seen only in those videos of North Korean troops marching in exact synchronicity.
