There are so many themes to explore within this 225 minute classic: divinity, immigration, social stratification, war and the obvious architecture to name a few; The Brutalist balances them all perfectly. The type of film that’ll be studied and appreciated in years to come. A film which dissects the so called American Dream; a fallacious & toxic idea, whilst also glorifying the unique talent that mass waves of immigrants brought to the US after WW2; embodied in László Tóth’s artistic genius.…
An absolutely fantastic watch. A story that represents the message of beyond anything that matters in life, you, yourself are meant to be who God made you; never doubt your faith. Also, give that man Ralph Fienes an Oscar!

I always hate when titles are so misleading, we literally only get about 15 minutes of a frozen empire! Okay rant done… For now. Despite the minor flaws I had with this film; mostly the dialogue for the human characters, I just simply love watching these immense, monstrous creatures brawl it out! Throughout the entirety of the runtime, I never felt myself bored or my concentration swayed by anything, I was locked in to the enjoyable story, desperately wanting to know what happens next. Skar King was on crud; a great villain & the CGI was worthy of commendation. Would most definitely watch this film again!
P.S. I’m back 🦍
