  Further proof if it was needed that cinematographer Roger Deakins is the master of his craft – the film is visually stunning and its (not really) 'one-shot' trickery mesmerising. There is so much to like about this film on a technical level – visuals, vfx, sound design, costume and on and on – but, and here's the rub, I'm not sure if the actual story engaged me or not.
