  In the unlikely event that anyone sees this review, be warned that this movie relies *very heavily* on the viewer having a deep knowledge of eastern religion and mysticism, as well as Korean culture and history. Which I do not have, so a lot of what was happening I didn't understand. That aside, it was pretty badass.

  This was really really bad. Nuke the fridge is as cringeworthy as people say it is. Shia is embarrassing. I actually laughed out loud when I saw the skull it looks so bad. INTERDIMENSIONAL aliens. Snake as a whip, giant ants, just embarrassing. And this movie does this thing I absolutely hate- throughout the movie characters keep mentioning other adventures and capers that previously happened, and every story they describe sounds better than the one you're watching. They do this at least THREE times. Maddening.

  I'm not big on trigger warnings, but this has a *lot* of what I would call disturbing content, more than I've seen in a good while. To the extent that I actively don't recommend it to people.
