  The film was great, well written, well acted, well shot and presented. Maybe it is not peak Lanthimos but certainly peak Emma Stone.  I wasn’t expecting quite as strong a performance from her as she gave.

  But I have this feeling nipping away at me as I leave the cinema in Glasgow, the city the story is supposed to take place in but was reimagined as London.  Our own stories are being rewritten and a large proportion of Scots appear…

  Nothing outstanding but I enjoyed it.  Got a wee lump in my throat at one or two scenes, always the mark of a decent film if it can make you feel something.
  Peter Pan references throughout were a nice touch, even if a little on the nose at points.
