This film, to me, feels like the perfect example of the extreme entertainment power of movies. As a feat of engineering, both Avatar films are incredible. Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex - Solid State Society 2006
This film echoed exactly what I felt 2nd GiG did right. All the characters are realized. Their emotions and ambitions hold weight in their decisions, though they struggle to hide it. We are now familiar enough with them from the series' that throwing the character development in our face wasn't necessary, but it also wasn't irrelevant enough that we could simply ignore it.
