This will take a few more rewatched for me to completely “get”. I did enjoy it and I do identify with both main character’s. “Old” me was Owen (which is also my last name, which is more just random trivia) being passive in my life and watching the years and life blur by, just existing. “New” me is Maddy, living life and making changes.
That’s my immediate take away, anyway.
Really cool "rock doc" with a proto-Real World/Road Rules element to it.

This film is a cunning array of stunts, with a goofy script, TEXAS, a very sedate bar brawl, EXPLOSIONS (Mr. Torgue would love this movie), a great heavy, and a surprisingly sweet line about mothers.
Good job of a creepy, atmospheric slow burn of a film. I'm on the fence about the black and white BTS/commercial break scenes. It does mess with the "found footage" motif, but it added to the story and the change to black and white was a nice visual cue to POV shift.
This will be added to October movie lists for sure.
