  As much as I love the original this remake hit the spot on a stormy night.  Was it the ultra nostalgic 2006 wardrobe? Definitely.  Was it the fact that the protagonist had a similar Nextel flip phone as me?  Probably. The acting may leave a lot to be desired but the tension is good, especially in the last 30 minutes.
