  pretty much dead on arrival once you hear the first song it's central worshiped pop star and the song is terrible. proceeds from there with a bunch of random imagery, toothless themes, and zero actual ideas, Ayo Edebiri is a star and deserves a film better than this dreck

  kind of exactly what you would expect to happen when a guy (RPATZ) obsessed with playing weird freaks teams up with a director whose been given 100 mill after winning every award you can possibly win and then decides to make a movie where said actor gets to play two distinct freaks. bloated and incoherent and memorable and horny and fun. loved all the character details, specifically that one guys chin piercing, Toni Collette's nails, and Mark Ruffalo’s huge veneers

  There's tons to marvel at here. With the genius production design by Judy Becker and the stunning Vistavision lensing, if you have the chance to see this on 70mm run, don't walk. Brody is unreal, possessing such anguish and inner rage that it's deeply felt in every scene.
