When the twist was revealed I initially felt it was just Ghost Stories but as that reveal played out I realised how invested I had become in the characters. I loved the aesthetics of the ‘space’/ tv show sections and the reveal really does feel satisfying.
The performances are consistently great but Rhea Seehorn DOES. NOT. MISS. A total standout in everything she’s in.
Great young actors too.
It felt like such a refreshing film, so much of it centred on love.
Maron’s clearly a very accomplished and experienced comedian and the show is tight and consistent but nothing stood as especially unique content-wise.
I don’t think the room helped, I think it would have worked significantly better in a comedy club rather than a theatre and if that had been the case there might have been less of the clapping instead of laughing.
Thought this was brilliant.
Extremely tight, was gripped for every second of the runtime. Don’t think I’ve been so tense throughout a film since Uncut Gems (I’m unsure if I would have had the same feeling if I’d known the outcome going in).
One thing I loved was how much trust it put in the audience. Lesser directors or writers would have felt the need to explain some of the more technical aspects of television but the dialogue never felt…
