  Olivia Coleman was the winner of this movie, but I was disappointed 😔 with this Paddington. Didn’t hit the same as the last 2. Also what happened to Sally Hawkins 😭!

  I think the film did such a wonderful job at commanding our whole attention 🥲🎥 and making us feel like we were right there with Clive Owens as he was trying to figure out what tf to do 😂. 

  I was thinking of Civil War interestingly, and how both films show the horror, rawness and dehumanization of war— but the storytelling was so much more… gripping and human with this one.

  possibly one of my favorite films of 2024 (this statement carries very lil weight given that my track record this year was pretty abysmal).

  this movie so delicately explores the themes of survival, dignified work, the "american dream", coming of age, agency, and capitalism.

  annie's desire for different life and a fantasy comes crashing down, hard, like a weekend bender in vegas and she gets a taste of the cruel, ruthless reality of this world. who can blame her?
