I just don't think I feel the need for anything more than all this, whereas, you know, you seem to be saying that it's inconceivable that anybody could be having a meaningful life today, and, you know, everyone is totally destroyed, and we all need to live in these outposts; but you know, I can't believe---even for you. Don't you find it pleasant just to get up in the morning?

imagine the grand nagus telling you you're exoticising the other and missing the profound in your everyday life! imagine!

ostentatious yet empty; thinks itself a satire but in the end it's a pulpy mess that drips with impressively regressive ideas about class and money, not to mention that it treats the mere idea of sex as enough to feel trangressive. and it should have been an hour shorter.

"When we abolish the signs, we lose our orientation. Instead, we should search for their meaning."

    slow tv monk asmr

this is almost 3 hours long and i never mentally checked out. i stayed up late to finish instead of splitting it into two nights. meditatively hang out with some monks. look at the seasons change. chop some celery. go sledding. read a book and pause to think about it. shovel snow. plant carrots. debate your rituals and their meaning. get a haircut. sing with your friends. mend your boots.
