It was fine. I never saw the musical but the music was kinda dull outside of “my name is…” It all had the lighting and costumes of a Disney channel movie. They gave freakin’ Moana a second fiddle part. The Easter eggs were fun. The phones everywhere thing was a little over the top.

SNL50: The Anniversary Special 2025
Some of the earlier sketches were good, the latter sketches lost some luster (true to form, the after update sketches) and the music overall wasn't good. Seems like they were having sound mixing issues. The audience bits were entertaining for the whose who factor and a lot of the lookbacks were great. I appreciate that they looked at the sketches that haven't aged well.
