Hugh Grant’s role in Heretic is a testament to his incredible range as an actor, and Sophie Thatcher’s stunning performance only adds to the film’s character.
The movie was just a few steps away from brilliance but is still a gripping exploration of the human condition either way.

Just like in The Lighthouse, The Northman & The Witch, cinematographer Jarin Blaschke and production designer Craig Lathrop team up with Robert Eggers to hauntingly sumberge the audience into the vampire story I didnt know that I have always wanted.
Between Bill Skarsgård, Nicholas Hoult, Lily-Rose Depp, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Emma Corrin, Ralph Ineson, Simon McBurney, and Willem Dafoe, there truly is not enough that can be said about the beautifully executed performances. I might as well have been seated front row…
Thank you, Ti West! It’s one thing to complete a trilogy and it’s another thing to make three amazing stand-alone movies that connect to one another.
I simply cannot say enough about the performances this cast puts on in this film — particularly Giancarlo Esposito, Kevin Bacon, Elizabeth Debicki and Mia Goth. These are the kind of characters I want to see at the movies and these are definitely the actors that can really bring them to life.
Maxxxine is also a sobering reminder that Hollywood still does not hold horror films to the respect and recognition they deserve.
