a great premise and setup held back by meandering, meaningless side arcs and treating the viewer like a 6 year old when revealing plot details (over and over and over).
but god damn is johan beautiful.

The Big Short 2015
coming from Succession, you can definitely see how this was mckay's warmup. ie people sitting in rooms discussing the driest financial concepts you could ever imagine but somehow made entertaining. ridiculous cast, and yet another reason for me to think Jeremy Strong got snubbed. it did lose me a bit in the third act
