The Music and animation never fails to impress me in Studio Ghibli films. They make the best animal animation hands down. They really make them come to life, and really do a phenomenal job with their expressions in their faces and eyes especially. Didn’t love the antagonists, and the ending was not as good as some of the other Ghibli movies I’ve seen. Still a good movie and I’m glad I went to see it with my siblings!

This is one of the most unique romances I’ve seen and I loved and hated almost every bit of it. The acting by the three leads was phenomenal. The best parts of each performance was often when no dialogue was being spoken. Their eyes and body spoke a thousand words, enough for you to know everything you need to.

Who knew a baptism could be so brutal. One of the greatest scenes in cinema period. Also just an amazing experience to watch this on 35 mm film in a 100+ year old theater.
