  Robert is my Hollywood hunk, and I loved watching his performance(s) in this. But I was so mentally exhausted by the end. However, I couldn’t really anticipate where we were going the whole time- which made it fun!

  Visually stunning, like all of his films. I thought all of the performances really captured the varying degrees of internalized homophobia that lead us to size each other up on who is queer and who is a fag. As well as substance abuse, and pining for those who don’t fully love us. I’m interested in what a healthy, gay love story might look like in a Guadagnino film. I suspect he would say that that story isn’t dynamic enough to be told. I think in Trump’s second administration- nothing would be more radical.

  This film’s biggest problem is that it’s boring, and doesn’t elicit any genuine feelings around its main characters. Clearly, a lot of people worked really hard on it though, so I don’t like coming here and just running my mouth. Production design was great.
