Dune 2021
every aspect of this movie is spectacular and I love it
(I’ve been in a cinephile rut and I think Denis Villeneuve yanked me out of it with a gently caressing pull)
the world of Dune feels real in a way that most films can’t pull off, almost as if you could reach through the screen and grab a handful of sand, because every shot, beat, twitch and note were so perfectly thought out and artfully executed to render a masterpiece
moreover, I want to live in that world some more, I hope more than almost anything that they make more of these like this
