Flow 2024
This film bored me, despite being 80 something minutes it was more testing to get through than some movies twice the length, I just did not connect with this at all. Some of the animation felt pretty, and I guess the animals were cute at times, but overall it felt like a tech demo that was for reason extended from 5 minutes to 80 minutes. Like a video game cutscene that doesn't end.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse 2023
Great fun all round for a Saturday night watch, beautiful art styles, great soundtrack, and a fun mix match between all the different characters. Some really funny moments throughout that I enjoyed, and lots of Easter eggs for any Spidey fans. It actually did the multiverse stuff better than any of the other marvel movies I've seen, and had some sad moments from that.
This is a first part of 2 movies as it did set it up with a cliffhanger, and in a way I would of wanted it wrapped up in this movie, but then it might of felt too rushed.Translated from by

The Brutalist 2024
Good but not great. Beautifully shot with great architecture cinematography, and that soft film lighting looked great on the 70mm I saw it on. Acting was solid with Adrien Brody great as ever, Guy Pearce and Felicity both were solid supporting. The score is just epic with those horns. The production design puts you right into the 40s/50s and the architecture and setting feels nostalgic.

Extreme violence for Christmas Eve, what could be more festive?
This absolute whirlwind of a film has some of the tightest fight choreography and martial arts, with no quick cuts but instead showing all the action in gory detail.
