All I wanted was a lean, mean, Euro action thriller and instead got a lot of sentimental pro-parenthood content.

A 90-minute movie that's 2/3 flashback — one extended flashback that you gradually realize is less an interruption of the movie than it is the movie itself.

One cute scene. One memorable (goofy) set piece. Some new additions to the "no way she didn't have a miscarriage" library.

Straight up one of the most outlandish feats ever set to film. YOU MUST RESPECT IT. A timeless marriage of protagonist and director, borderline mad men chasing impossible dreams. A wild and sometimes wacky movie, with unforgettable sound design and Klaus Kinski himself, cinema's weirdest and most watchable face.

What a dismal follow-up to one of the greatest thrillers ever made; can't believe they bothered pursuing without Jodie Foster as Clarice Starling.

Equal parts boring and unpleasant, this one's at or near the nadir for Ridley Scott, who directed Gladiator the previous year!
