  Fun to see Beyonce and Jennifer Hudson tear it up, but I think Jamie Foxx was miscast? Or was it the writing? I just couldn’t find any scene he was in believable.

  As a person who adores Sean Baker, read countless reviews, listened to many interviews, and saw a Q&A, it pains me to express disappointment in this film. 

  Progressing from the super low budget indie world into making a pretty commercial film, changes the way a film is made, marketed, and who it targets. I don’t think I was ready for this change.
