So wild that a Japanese Samurai movie inspired an Italian director to hire Clint Eastwood to make a Western Cowboy movie which became a cornerstone of American identity. Hilarious movie. Love these little gimmicky tricks like 'magic wish dust' which transport a character into the future or something. It's such a fun way to draw an audience in on a few different levels. Andy Serkis gave this movie 110%; all the supporting actors were funny and charming. Fun fashion and early 2000s culture. Jennifer Gardener must have had a fun time with this; she was really engaging and endearing.

Great dialogue, superb attitudes from the characters, loved the ambiance. The movie really built tension masterfully; I was right on the edge of my seat. Walter Neff was just too damn cool.

It was also the most outright scary, and that's likely due to it being shot more like the 'horror' genre. Sound and color design were unbelievable. Gore was sickening, but the real reason why this movies succeeds is that it stays pretty faithful to the original(s). Tension reigns supreme, and the sickening grotesqueness supplements it. All…
