A teen drama set in Orange County about a group of Asian high school students dabbling in crime, partially funded by MC Hammer and the maxing out of the directors credit cards. The music in this is awesome, and I love the product placement in the breakfast scene with Johnnie Mae and her husband. Love the possibilities of utilizing the "soap opera" genre, even when the director has a low-budget and shoots on video.

As if a Sirkian melodrama had radioactive nuclear waste poured all on top of it and was set to songs by The Birthday Party.

Moritsugu introduces his audience to an Asian American nuclear family who are slowly unraveling due to drugs, money, teen pregnancy, and skinheads. Gore and aliens come into play too, as well as a whole lot of commentary on budding teen sexuality. Pretty fun!
