So weird!
A lot of the gags are funny in an intellectual appreciative way as opposed to a visceral way. Which is too bad. But the performances were if not great were clearly VERY fun. Robert Pattinson operating on Gosling levels of hilarity.
Mickey 17 is too well made for it to be dismissed.
The ending title card really made me tear up and sold the humanist heart of the movie 🥺
How can anyone criticize that?
There's a moment during the first scene of a film you're watching when you just know that what you're about to see is of pure cinematic quality and this film? It brought it.
I was honestly taken by the entire vibe. The lighting, the music, the beautiful people, the dialogue. It's a ton of fun. Sleek as hell. And it features some great dinner table conversations.
More movies like this please!

I've been thinking about the ending scene where his mom talks about the sculptures that are placed randomly in different areas and whether or not they can be obstacles in someone's life or an opportunity for them.
A solidly made thriller with a fun Hugh Grant performance.
Well written, but the religious angle is mostly smoke screen and it could have been more profound but ends up settling for an argument you'd make in a High School philosophy class.
