Giving this a GENEROUS 3-stars because on the whole it doesn’t really work. There’s a lot of good stuff here: Pattinson’s voice, Mickey and Nasha’s relationship, Mark Ruffalo and Toni Collette hamming it up (until that got tiring), Steven Yeun whenever they let him have screentime, hell even the hot cop lady although the movie doesn’t know what to do with her outside of 1 or 2 scenes. Love Lies Bleeding 2024
Where the hell did this come from? One of those movies I’m just glad exists and want everyone to go see. Probably will go down as the best romance of the year (those Drive-Away Dolls a close second). Most nauseated I’ll be in a theater all year I bet, although that was certainly due in part to the Costco dog and pizza I had before. Ed Harris you sir are a freak!
