  Weak sauce, clear soup, wafer thin, spoon fed. I can practically see this script landing on a desk, I’ve never felt so pandered to, can’t stomach it.

  I need to talk about the problem of Anya Taylor Joy’s character Margot first. Throughout the film Margot takes shots at the one dimensional easy targets for the audience, rendering this derivative version of the “eat the rich” satire toothless. Also unfortunately, I find Joy is hard to believe in the sex worker…

  Truly this is Yorgos’s horror film, right? The Lobster is his romcom. Deer is his thriller. The Favourite is his period piece.
