Some excellent moments here and there, but the tone doesn't feel right most of the time, as it veers off too hard into melodrama and looks very flat and amateurish.

It's odd how this movie always leaves me feeling pretty positive, as opposed to romantic comedies which evoke something more akin to despair in me. Maybe it's the level of empathy afforded to these relatable losers, or how successfully it balances nuance and insight with these over the top scenarios while also being genuinely funny. I'm so glad this movie exists.
